Some Uber-cool artwork for my new tracks.

life - Updates :
1: I will not be getting the bike that I was supposed to get due to some financial constraints.....drats

....

2. my first and official track will be rolling out either by the end of this or the next month so expect some serious kick-ass artwork for it.

It has been some time since I updated my journal, so I decided that its about time that I step out of the gloom and start my way to the top like so many have you have undertaken.
And most important of all
I got some good news. 1st being the fact that I am now roughly over the whole heart wrenching saga that I had.

And 2nd one being that now I am officially on my way to gaming greatness

. Its gonna be a gradual process and is gonna take at least 2 3 years but at any rate I know that I am on the right path. For those of you who dont know, as of august 17th 2009 I have been enrolled at frameboxx.
Still dont get it???
Okay lets take it from the Top shall we??? ....

So for those of you who dont know what frameboxx is
well frameboxx is probably the most uber-cool institute that offers training in animation. For those of you who wanna know more about it
you can go to its official site: www. Frameboxx. in ( delete the blank spaces when you cut and copy this in your address bar ). So as I have just joined the course I am in the post-production module, learning and in some cases refreshing the basics that are responsible for making an animated or VFX movie a success.
And the funny thing being that I am actually lovin these lectures and

our teacher is probably the most uber-cool teacher I have come across so far in my 19 odd years on this freakin planet

.

I know that I love designing stuff and all that but I am shocked to see that I am enjoying it more than I expected.
And to add to all that I ll be uploading all [ or some ] the scans of all the practice sketches that I will be doing in this module and remember constructive criticism is always welcome.

And yeah before I forget... I wanted to inform you about probably the most kick-ass place for budding graphics designers with the obvious exception of deviant art : www. Utralenergy . com. So give it a look and join me there if you wanna.
Cheers
Baron Flame

Shed no tears. For in the midst of living and dying, existence persists. Perpetuating towards the goal of the evolution of self. This life is only one aspect of the journey. Therefore create and be joyous!!

If you need help with coloured pencils, you know who to call ,XD!
If you wanna start with colour then use blocks on it at first, unless you are confortable with that already.
Oh, and another thing, the line arts fantastic but when adding colour you can make it easier for yourself by making the lines come right to the edge.

The note On My Wall:
Pants first, THEN your shoes.
Like Jangmai said, shading would be a great step up from where you are, as you're already using it well for your lines. Colours are also a good idea for improvement.
Also, while it is entirely your own preference, you can try extending your range and finding out your potential. For example, if you like The Lion King, interpret in your own way and style. While imitating something is a great way to learn, you'll find it very satifying using your own unique flair and combining that with a cherished hobby.
Yeah, I hoped that helped!

When life gives you lemons, SHUT THE HELL UP AND EAT YOUR DAMN LEMONS.
You asked if I could give you some pointers and it would be a pleasure.
The one thing that encouraged me was an email from Andrew Tift (if you havent seen his works google him ;D fantastic artist) who told me that aslong as you find inspiration within your interests, which for me is portraiture, then you will have what it takes to better yourself
I must say that the next step for me from linearts was practicing tone / shading. It allows you to get a sense of form and depth within your images. So get your tissues out, a 2h, hb, 4b, (or just three levels of light - medium - dark) and keep building up layer upon layer of smudged shading.
...I like to type alot! Sadly the cliche is true: Practice, practice, practice ^^
and believe me when i say that i will heed ever word you say
